Lisa Rinna is mourning the death of her father, Frank Rinna, who passed away at the age of 93. After announcing her father's passing via her Instagram and Twitter accounts Thursday, the 52-year-old star of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" posted a special tribute to her father, including sharing old family photos and penning a heartfelt message.
"The World lost a Great Man today......Heaven got a great Angel. I love you Dad," the reality star captioned a photo of her dad posing with her mother, Lois.
Rinna's father was hospitalized for pneumonia last April for the fourth time in a year. Frank Rinna had been experiencing poor health for some time, the Daily Mail reported.
The reality star continued her tribute with additional photos on social media, including a painting by her late father and a photo of her dad and herself on her wedding day in 1997. The black-and-white photo shows her father wearing a tuxedo-clad while accompanying her down the aisle in her wedding gown.
"My Dad And Me. Wedding Day. #tbt," she captioned the post.
Rinna thanked her fans for their support via Twitter, writing, "Thank you for all of your kind messages. My family and I so appreciate all of the love. Dad passed singing 'My Way' Sinatra was his fav."
Rinna opened up about her family during a December 2015 episode of "Real Housewives" and later reflected on how hard it was to watch her parents grow older later in a Bravo blog post.
"It's so hard living as far from my aging parents as I do," she wrote last month. "As blessed as I feel to still have both of my parents here on this earth with me, it's hard to know that my dad just doesn't want to be here anymore. I thank God every day, though, that my family, particularly my mother, has such a good sense of humor about life. Laughter has helped us get through some pretty tough times together and for that I am grateful. I love my parents dearly, though I think my dad's days are numbered," she continued. "It's just a matter of time now. Please say prayers for him to go peacefully."
