'Batman Vs. Superman' Movie: 'Lost' Actor Terry O'Quinn Snags Role Of Lex Luthor Away From 'Breaking Bad' Bryan Cranston?

The appearance of Lex Luthor in the "Man of Steel" sequel "Batman Vs. Superman" has been confirmed by Zack Snyder himself, and the rumor mills are buzzing with a potential lead of who might be in the running for the role.

According to SupermanSuperSite.com, the man reportedly up for the role is none other that Terry O'Quinn, best known as the character John Locke in the television show "Lost".

Sources "close to production" told the website O'Quinn is on Snyder's list of actors he wants to portray Superman's nemesis.

"Rumors at one time indicated that actor Bryan Cranston had been cast as Lex Luthor but this ultimately turned out to be false with Cranston himself saying that it was not true," the website reported. "Until such time that Warner Bros. releases an official statement confirming the casting of Lex Luthor in the 2015 film, please take this latest news with a grain of salt and treat it as strictly rumor for now."

Another actor rumored to be up for a part in the upcoming "Batman Vs. Superman" film is "Girls" actor Adam Driver for the role of Nightwing.

"A source tells TheWrap that at least two other actors may be in the mix to play Grayson, the Caped Crusader's former sidekick, who's been estranged from Bruce Wayne for years in the movie, according to Latino Review," The Wrap reported.

The appearance of Wonder Woman has also been buzzing around the film.

"Jaimie Alexander last week set the Internet on fire when she said she met with Warners over the female role in the movie and just today, my pals from Schmoes Know just said that Olga Kurylenko screen tested. Remember folks, there are four ladies and so far we know of two," the Latino Review reports.

However, neither Snyder nor anyone working from the production team has confirmed the appearance of Wonder Woman or Nightwing in the film. Snyder has only confirmed that Lex Luthor will be in the "Man of Steel" sequel.
