Sony Computer Entertainment will officially launch the PlayStation 4 at midnight on Nov. 15.
To celebrate the next-gen console's release date, many tech sites are holding live stream events showcasing the PS4.

For those who have already pre-ordered the console or planning on purchasing the PS4 in the United States or Canada, Sony is offering freebies in celebration of the release date, according to the tech company's official blog.
Inside the PS4's box there is a 30-day free PlayStation Plus membership trial (available for new members only), a 30-day free Music Unlimited trial and a $10 Sony Entertainment credit for the PlayStation Store.
Sony is also offering the following free game titles and starter packs for the PS4.
1. "Resogun" (PS4): Free to all PS Plus Members
"'Resogun' is an intense fast-paced shoot em' up developed exclusively for the PS4 system. Unleash a diverse array of devastating weapons including lasers, missiles, overdrive, and nova-bombs to blast hordes of enemies and rescue the last survivors from distant galactic colonies that are under ruthless attack from an evil alien invasion force."
2. "Contrast" (PS4): Free to all PS Plus Members
