"The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" has booked another guest for its post-Super Bowl show that will air immediately after the big game. Fox News' Megyn Kelly was announced on Monday as a guest on Colbert's late night talk show, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
"The Kelly File" host joins previously announced guests Tina Fey, Margot Robbie, Will Ferrell, Keegan Michael Key and Jordan Peele, who were all announced last week. The star studded cast will help Colbert make TV history when his show becomes the first late night series to snag the coveted timeslot. The show will start around 10 p.m., will be an hour-long and will broadcast from the show's home at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City, according to the New York Times.
The inclusion of Kelly comes when the commentators name has been making a lot of headlines. In addition to hosting her show on Fox, she also moderated two GOP debates and came under fire from GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump. Trump refused to attend the second debate that involved Kelly and insisted that she was "bias" and posed a "conflict of interest," as HNGN previously reported. The network did not back down and kept Kelly as a moderator, which lead Trump to follow through on his word, and was a no-show at the debate.
"The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" will broadcast after the Carolina Panthers take on the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 and will be followed by "The Late Late Show with James Corden," according to E! News.
