According to reports, Warner Bros. could be close to casting the mysterious female lead role in the sequel to "Man of Steel," given the unofficial title "Batman Vs. Superman." Not much is known about the role but there have been several rumors that Wonder Woman or a Bruce Wayne love interest could be making an appearance in the movie.
It was also rumored that four actresses are being considered for the part including "Fast and Furious" star Gal Gadot, "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" actress Elodie Yung and Olga Kurylemko. According to Variety, all three women either have tested or will test for the role.
According to Variety, actress Jamie Alexander was also being heavily considered but "Alexander's obligation to future Marvel pics take her out of the running since it's a DC comics property." Sources also stressed to the magazine that the female role has not been hammered out yet and even though there are rumors that these women auditioned for Wonder Woman, the part could just as easily be Batman's lover.
Reportedly the description for the role said the studio was looking for someone "tall, brunette, athletic and exotic."
Besides rumors that Wonder Woman would be making an appearance in the sequel there was also talk that other Justice League members could be in the movie. It's not clear which members but there have tons of rumors surrounding Flash joining Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman. El Mayimbe from Latino-Review also dropped a spoiler that Robin is going to be in the sequel but he and Batman won't be speaking to each other.
"Can't wait for #BatmanvsSuperman... #batfleck semi-retired/mot speaking to Robin anymore...Controlling drones from the batcave," he tweeted.
The sequel is set to open worldwide July 17, 2015 with Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman.
