After spending almost one year in prison, Teresa Giudice was released in December 2015 and had an emotional reunion with her family. On Monday, Bravo announced that the former star of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" would be returning for the new season and one day later released a sneak peak at her homecoming.
In a trailer for the new season of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," Teresa's husband Joe Giudice said, "Hi honey, welcome home!" as her children all run to embrace their mother.
"After 11 months in prison, be there for the moment Teresa comes home," the promo teased.
The 43-year-old reality star was found guilty of fraud charges in October 2014 as was her husband, according to People. Teresa was released early and got to spend extra time with Joe before he begins his own 42-month prison sentence for the same crime next month.
For the upcoming season of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," former castmates Melissa Gorga and Jacqueline Laurita will also join Teresa in returning to the Bravo series. The show will pick up where Season 6 left off in November 2014 and will feature Teresa trying to repair her relationships with Laurita and her sister-in-law Gorga.
"I am very excited to be back," Teresa told Bravo's The Daily Dish about the new season. "For me, this season is all about letting go of the past and embracing the future. People are calling me Teresa 2.0."
Season 7 of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" will premiere some time this summer.
