The Kardashian sisters are known for their flawless contouring skills and have a lot to do with the reason it's become such a huge makeup trend over the past couple of years. There are several YouTube videos on how to contour just like a Kardashian, and the famous sisters themselves have even shared a few videos of their own so people can copy their go-to looks. While face and cheekbone contouring is definitely the most popular of the sculpting techniques, we've also seen a lot of neck and chest contouring recently, and now, the youngest of the Kardashian clan, Kylie Jenner, is adding ear contouring into the mix.
In a recent video on her website and app, the 18-year-old reality star and Lip Kit queen shows fans one of her makeup sessions with her makeup artist Hrush Achemyan. The video, which is mainly showing her subscribers how to get a smudged eye look called "The Smokey Rock Star," starts off pretty normal with some basic shading, bronzing and illuminating of her face, until Jenner says, "Oh yeah, I like when you do my ears."
While this may seem completely unnecessary to most, Achemyan has a valid reason as to why she contours Jenner's ears along with the rest of her face.
"It's really a good tip that a lot of people don't do because it's really not cute when you're on the red carpet, or get snapped and then your face is one color and the ears are different," Achemyan explains. "It shows the tone is not really your skin tone and you have on a lot of foundation. Just like your neck, your ears are a part of your face."
In the video, Achemyan uses at least $500 worth of tools and products to achieve this look on Jenner, according to the Daily Mail.
While Jenner, who looks much different now than she did in the early days of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," has admitted to having lip fillers, people have accused the young star of having more plastic surgery done, but she has denied the accusations on multiple occasions.
"You guys have watched me grow up since I was nine. My Face is going to get different," she told Cosmopolitan last January. "Now, I know how to do my make-up, contour and everything. I'm not against plastic surgery. I'd never say no, but I don't desire it right now."
