India, which registered two back-to-back wins in the tournament, is now looking to maintain its winning momentum against the inexperienced Sri Lankan side. The MS Dhoni led side first defeated host Bangladesh by a comprehensive margin of 45-run in Asia Cup opener T20I on Wednesday. They also thrashed Pakistan by five wickets in a low-scoring encounter Saturday night, according to NDTV Sports.
Sri Lanka also began its Asia Cup campaign with an impressive win over the U.A.E at Dhaka Thursday night. The U.A.E. failed to chase down a modest total after restricting Sri Lanka to 129 in 20 overs, according to ICC Cricket. Sri Lankan skipper Lasith Malinga took four wickets. The Malinga-led side is set to take on host Bangladesh in its second Asia Cup encounter Sunday night.
