Celebrity makeup collections and collaborations are huge right now, and even though Ashley Tisdale's hasn't been released just yet, we can already tell it's going to be a major hit.
The 30-year-old actress first announced in November that she would be collaborating with BH Cosmetics to create Illuminate by Ashley, and she's been giving fans sneak peeks of the beautiful, shimmery collection ever since. The line will officially launch in May, and will be affordable for every beauty lover.
BH Cosmetics is known for having incredible products at very low prices, and Tisdale's collection will fall within the same price ranges. Nothing on the BH Cosmetics website costs more than $20, and neither will Tisdale's products. Within her collection will be lip glosses and tints for $9 and eyeshadow/blush plates for just $18.
"Ashley has been hands-on every step of the way, choosing colors, textures, and packaging that reflect her laid-back, yet sophisticated style," said Reed Cromwell IV, BH Cosmetics director of product development. "Working with her has been a breeze, because we share the same philosophy: a belief in high-quality makeup at affordable prices, with the goal of creating luxurious cosmetics that let customers express their individuality."
The former Disney star and BH Cosmetics have been posting photos of the neutral-colored Illuminate products for months now. Even though they're simple, they are far from boring. The plumping lip glosses come in pinks, purples, nudes and reds, but nothing too crazy, and the palettes feature both eyeshadows and blushes. The two-in-one palettes will soon become your go-to accessory when creating that perfect natural look. The collection also features six tints that can be used on both lips and cheeks.
"I'm someone who loves makeup - I love doing my own makeup and getting my makeup done - and I had specific ideas for what I wanted the palettes to look like so they would represent me," Tisdale told WWD. "I love the whole California beachy look, and I love glowy bronze. I think makeup is supposed to illuminate you. Hense, the title Illuminate...Nowadays with social media, everybody who has a smartphone is able to review a product. It really needs to perform as promised. We wanted powerful pigments."
"Aah...probably my favorite part of Illuminate, the eyshadow-and-blush palettes," Tisdale wrote in a blog post on The Haute Mess. "There are two palettes, so you can go from day to night. The Beach Goddess palette (for the daytime) includes softer, nude shades, while the Nigh Goddess palette (for you night crawlers) contains darker, smokier shades."
Each product comes in gorgeous metallic rose gold and white striped packaging, which Tisdale is specifically proud of. "Guys I'm so excited because my packaging is finally done!!" she captioned a photo. "Worked so hard on this and love seeing it come to life!"
