Russell Wilson took to Instagram Friday to announce that he and his girlfriend Ciara were engaged after the two had been dating for almost a year. Even though Wilson has spent time with her 21-month-old son Future Jr., her baby daddy and ex-boyfriend Future wants to make sure that Wilson doesn't take over as a father.
Ever since the 30-year-old R&B singer introduced the NFL star to her son, Future has not been pleased. He didn't think that another man should be pushing his son around in a stroller, let alone be around him. Now that the two are one step closer to getting married, the 31-year-old rapper has reportedly warned Wilson when it comes to his son, even though he's happy for them as a couple.
"Future wishes her the best. All he cares about is his son and wants Russell to take a back seat to father duties," a source said. "Future's a good father and his child means everything in the world to him and he hopes Russell knows that and respects that."
Ciara recently filed a multi-million-dollar lawsuit against Future, who she was once engaged to. Since Future spoke out about Wilson in a radio interview last summer, saying, "You don't bring a man around your son," and then took to Twitter to slam Ciara's parenting skills, she sued him for slander and libel for attacking her and talking badly about her as a mom.
