‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6: 5 Things You Should Know

Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for HBO's "Game of Thrones."

The season six premiere of HBO's "Game of Thrones" is exactly one month away which means fans are getting closer and closer to getting answer for some of the show's biggest questions. But you don't want to go into the sixth season blind like Arya Stark, do you? No, of course not. That's why we've combed through all of the interviews, trailers and promotional material to help prepare you for the upcoming season.

Here's five things you should know about "Game of Thrones'" sixth season.

1. Everyone Says Jon Snow Is Still Dead

We know for a fact that Kit Harington was in Belfast shooting with the "Game of Thrones" crew over the last few months (we also saw leaked set photos of Jon Snow looking alive and well). However, Harrington is insisting that the only reason he was there was to shoot scenes as a corpse. Yeah, right; and I'm the King of Westeros.

Here's what Harington said in a recent interview.

Harrington: Look, I'm not in the show anymore. I'm definitely not in the new series.

Time Out: So you didn't film any new scenes?

KH: I filmed some scenes of be being dead - (jokily) it's some of my best work.

TO: Do you know what happens in the series or have you lost your privileges.

KH: I don't have a clue. I know how long I'm a corpse for, but I can't tell you that!

Sorry, Kit, no one believes you. We may not know exactly how Jon Snow returns, but we have a hunch that he will.

2. Somehow, the show won't spoil the books

Those who have devoted ample time to reading about the intricacies of lemon cakes in George R.R. Martin's novel series "A Song of Ice & Fire" are justifiably upset that the HBO series will surpass the book's narrative timeline this season. The fear of major spoilers is a serious concern. However, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are trying to assuage any lingering doubts you may harbor before plunging into the new season.

"People are talking about whether the books are going to be spoiled - and it's really not true," Benioff said. "So much of what we're doing diverges from the books at this point. And while there are certain key elements that will be the same, we're not going to talk so much about that - and I don't think George is either. People are going to be very surprised when they read the books after the show. They're quite divergent in so many respects for the remainder of the show."

Even if the show does take some creative liberties, there will be storylines that are spoiled on air instead of on the page. Be warned and don't hold your breath for "The Winds of Winter" being published anytime soon.

3. Actors are praying for character deaths

Wait, what? Who would actually want to be killed off? Apparently little Ms. X-Men: Apocalypse herself, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark).

"I don't want to survive," Turner said of the upcoming season. "If you're on Game of Thrones and you don't have a cool death scene, then what's the point?"

The point is keeping the Starks alive following the brutal murders of your father, brother and half-brother. Get with the program, Sophie. This isn't amateur hour.

4. Bran is chilling with the White Walker king

One of the big takeaways from the season six trailer is Bran standing next to the Night's King; you know, the dude who runs the White Walkers? Many have speculated that this is part of Bran's newfound psychic abilities and that this scene is a vision rather than a meeting between an able-bodied Bran and an undead ice zombie.

But still, what the hell is going on?!

5. Don't let POTUS spoil anything

So one major perk of being President of the United States, besides running the free world, is being able to catch episodes of "Game of Thrones" before they air on HBO.

Actor Liam Cunningham (Davos) revealed that President Obama knows what's going down before the rest of us.

"Did you know he gets advance copies? POTUS. He gets DVD copies before we do. And we're in it!" Cunningham said.

Who needs access to UFO files and nuclear stockpiles when you threaten someone with "GoT" spoilers, am I right?

"Game of Thrones" will return to HBO for a sixth season on April 24.
