Snoop Dogg Premieres His New Nature Show ‘Planet Snoop’ Where He Narrates Animal Clips [VIDEO]

Step aside "Planet Earth," Snoop Dogg's new nature series "Planet Snoop" is here. The rapper premiered his new web series on his cannabis and culture website, Merry Jane, on Thursday.

"Planet Snoop" is based on the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" segments called "Plizzanet Earth," where Snoop reacted and narrated clips from the hit BBC nature documentary series "Plant Earth." The videos were so popular that a petition to have the rapper narrate an entire season of "Plizzanet Snoop" got more than 65,000 signatures, which led to the creation of his new web series, "Planet Snoop."

The petition was addressed to Animal Planet, Snoop Dogg, Discovery Communications and The BBC and said, "We the people have agreed - we want Snoop Dogg to narrate full episodes of Planet Earth."

"Snoop Dogg has narrated some Planet Earth in the past but yo we need him to narrate full episodes. Sign the petition if you agree," the description of the petition read.

The campaign then got an extra boost when Snoop Dogg himself tweeted out the petition to all of his Twitter followers, which was then retweeted by the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Twitter account.

"Who made this ?? Lets get this shit going," Snoop wrote on Twitter. "Who want more ‪#PlizzanetEarth?!"

In the first episode of "Planet Snoop," "Squirrel vs. Snake," the rapper narrated animal videos from the Internet instead of actual "Planet Earth" clips. While the type of animal videos that were shown may have been different than those in the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" series, Snoop's commentary was as hilarious as ever. Episode one of the show featured an "epic battle" between a squirrel and snake. The West Coast rapper put all his money on the snake but was astonished when the squirrel started to overpower the reptile.

"This squirrel is hard," Snoop said. "What gang he from? That ain't Alvin, Simon or Theodore."

"If he can bust a nut, you know he can bust a snake head open, no problem," the rapper said when the squirrel landed one last fatal blow. "I ain't never seen no s--t like this."
