On Monday, rumors began to go around that Kehlani had cheated on her NBA star boyfriend Kyrie Irving with her ex-boyfriend, rapper PARTYNEXTDOOR, and it was all too much for the singer to handle.
The 20-year-old Grammy-nominated singer took to Instagram to post a photo of herself in a hospital bed with an IV in her arm with a heartbreaking caption admitting that she had attempted suicide. The photo has since been deleted.
"I wanted to leave this Earth. Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I'd get to such a low point," she wrote. "But...Don't believe the blogs you read. No one was cheating on and I'm not a bad person...Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding...But as of today, I had no single wish to see tomorrow...But God saved me for a reason, and for that...I must be grateful...Cuz I'm not in heaven right now for a reason."

The rumors started when PARTYNEXTDOOR, whose real name is Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, posted a photo of him and Kehlani in bed together before quickly deleting it. Although neither of their faces were in the photo, it was obvious that the hand PND was holding was hers as she has a huge tattoo that reads "WOKE" on the back of her hand.
"After all her shenanigans, still got the R&B singer back in my bed," he captioned the photo.
Shortly after people started accusing her of cheating on Irving, her friends found her unconscious in her home. Once she recovered in the hospital, she not only admitted to attempting suicide, but also explained that she and Irving were broken up when she got back together with PND.
"I am severely utterly in love with my first love. Went thru a bad breakup and ended up easing into a relationship with a man who was one of my bestfriends [Irving]. Tho we realized we both weren't exactly at a time where we were prepared to do so," she explained. "Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding, but as of today I had no single wish to see tomorrow...but God saved me for a reason, and for that I must be grateful cuz I'm not in heaven right now for a reason."
She also posted a photo of PND at her side in the hospital with the caption, "Thank you for saving my life." Her entire Instagram account has since been deleted.
