This Friday, Dec. 13 IGN and Infinity Ward will be teaming up to bring fans of "Call of Duty: Ghosts'" new Extinction game mode a day entirely devoted to them with the Activision's global Extinction Day community event.
"On Friday, December 13th, we invite fans around the world to fight off alien swarms on Extinction Day, a global community event in Call of Duty: Ghosts. In addition to community gameplay livestreams, Extinction Day will feature an exclusive IGN Live broadcast from Infinity Ward, including behind-the-scenes Q&As with the developers and an exclusive first look at new features coming soon to Extinction," the company wrote on its Extinction Day Community website.
As part of the United State's portion of the big day, IGN will be showcasing new updates to "Call of Duty: Ghosts" Extinction Mode with a livestream of game play including developer commentary about how the game was made, unique strategic insights into the best way to complete your mission and ways to find a few Easter eggs hidden in the game.
As with all of IGN's livestreams, those who tune in to watch can live tweet their questions and comments via Twitter. In order to be a part of the show, simply tag your tweets with #ExtinctionDay for a chance to have your questions answered by IGN editors or developers from Infinity Ward and Neversoft.
To tune in, the show will be kicking off at 12:30 Pacific Time, 3:30 Eastern Time and 8:30 U.K. Time.
Remember that Extinction Day is an international global event with livestreams in Germany, France and other areas of the globe.
In addition to the live streams, "Call of Duty: Ghosts" Extinction Day will also kick off the first ever "Extinction Double XP Weekend," where players can earn extra points toward in-game rewards for taking on hordes of aliens this weekend.
