"The Division's" April update has faced some difficulties from the get-go: there were bugs and glitches galore and some of the content was noticeably absent. This was particularly true with the Falcon Lost Incursion, which not only suffered from a glitch that allowed players to safely pick off waves of enemies without fear of retaliation, but the matchmaking was horrid and it was impossible for players to join once the mission had started.
There isn't much word on what Ubisoft and Massive have done to address the matchmaking issues, but they have already done away with the first Falcon Lost glitch, fixing it in record time. However, if people want a chance at easy loot, they'll find it, and that's precisely what played out over the weekend when a new glitch for Falcon Lost was revealed.
The latest glitch comes to us courtesy of Daryus P who posted a YouTube video of the glitch in action. If successful, players will be able to complete the mission without fear of retaliation from enemies. However, it should be noted that the way it's implemented is quite different from the first.
Here's how it works:
Step 1: Enter the usual room and identify the APC target before running all the way outside the building.
Step 2: Navigate through two fences using "Mobile Cover" until you reach the outside wall of the facility that separates you from the APC.
Step 3: Aim at the marker designated where the APC is and use sticky bombs to damage it.
Step 4: Once the APC is destroyed, simply head back around and pick up all your "hard earned loot."
The exploit is quite effective, but it's also quite involved and requires a bit more time and patience than the original. As you may remember, the first glitch simply had players use "Mobile Cover" on the second floor to go through the wall. At that point, it was a simple matter of picking off the LMB and APC while they're preoccupied with the JTF soldiers below. Now, not only is your only viable form of damage stick bombs, but you have to rely on "Mobile Cover," which has always been tricky to use effectively.
As with all glitches, this is bound to be patched out soon, so get your fill while you can. It should also be mentioned that Ubisoft has indicated that it will punish players who have used the glitch there, saying on its website that doing so is a violation of its Code of Conduct.
"We are working on fixing the exploit," the announcement said. "Obviously, it is against our Code of Conduct and the team is looking into what can be done in terms of punishment for those who have exploited."
However, even with this declaration, it's unlikely many will heed Ubisoft's warning as they blame Ubisoft for the game being easily glitched in the first place.
