While the departure of Michael Trevino's character Tyler from "The Vampire Diaries" was very emotional, it was quite understandable. His character did not have much of a future on the show and the idea of him going to "The Originals" to stir up trouble with Klaus seemed like a logical step.
However, after squaring off with Klaus, giving up some information to Marcel, getting his neck snapped by Rebekah and he ultimately gets put in the garden.
Don't worry he'll make his way out eventually.
Executive Producer Michael Narducci recently told TVLine.com his "friends at the 'Vampire Diaries' office would really very much love to see Michael Trevino make a return. It stands to reason, logically, that somehow we're going to address the issue of how does Tyler get out of that garden."
Narducci also tells the website fans will soon learn a bit more about Marcel's prison and how it will be important to one original in particular.
"We're definitely going to see what's going on in the garden," Narducci said. "Tyler is not the only one who's buried in there. ... When we come back in the New Year, you're going to see Rebekah have some perspective on what that location is, and how she might be able to use that to her advantage."
According to the preview for the midseason premiere, it appears Davina will become the Originals next foe - well, at the least she'll be Klaus'. It seems she will cause some physical problems for the original hybrid. You can check out the video below. "The Originals" returns Jan. 14 on The CW.
