'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story': Rumors, Plot and What We Know So Far
Gareth Edwards, director of the latest "Star Wars" movie "Rogue One" was asked why it was named as such. He answered truthfully that he had also been thinking about it, according to the latest issue of Empire Magazine.
Rogue One can be a military call sign but the more acceptable explanation is that the movie is the first Star Wars that is not part of the Anakin Skywalker story series. In retrospect, it is indeed the Rogue One.
The title can be applied to its main character, Jyn Erso, played by Felicity Jones. The newest Star Wars heroine has a rogue steak in her as she leads the rebel team in a mission to steal the plans of the Death Star.
The Rogue One title has pretty much many roots which made it the best choice for movie title.
Other main characters included Rebel Intelligence Officer, Captain Cassian Andor (played by Diego Luna) and droid K-2SO (played by Alan Tudyk).
Although it was earlier confirmed that Alden Ehrenreich is the new (young) Han Solo, the director of Rogue One officially stated that the young Han Solo will not make any appearance in the new movie. Speculations of Hayden Christensen (as Anakin Skywalker, presumably) appearing in the movie was also officially turned down.
But one thing was confirmed, Darth Vader's character will be included in the movie. The villain's return was part of the trailer of the new movie.
"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" promises an exciting and different kind of Star Wars experience. As actress Felicity Jones put it, the movie is the "boots-on-the-ground" viewpoint and perception of the Star Wars universe.
Star Wars fans all throughout surely cannot wait for the showing of this movie, which will be out in theaters on Dec. 16.
