"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" ended with the funeral of Superman, or Clark Kent, who died saving the world from the evil hands of Doomsday. This is the particular reason why Batman, or Bruce Wayne, wanted to find other metahumans to help him try to save the world.
Of course, if you were watching closely towards the end of the film, you will notice that something weird happened - that Superman might just be alive.
Henry Cavill, the actor playing Superman in "Man of Steel" and "Batman V Superman", seemed to have eliminated the guessing game and already confirmed all theories that his character is alive and will be joining DC's next big superhero movie, Justice League.
Cavill posted a picture with the hashtag Superman in his Instagram account, which fans are quick to point out as the dark superman costume. Superman was brought back to life with a dark suit in the 1993 comics.
DC and Warner Bros. just announced the two new movies that fans should watch out - Justice League: Part One and Part Two, which will be released in cinemas on November 17, 2017 and June 14, 2019, respectively. Part One is about forming the team and preparing to fight an ultimate enemy which they will eventually defeat in Part Two.
Zack Snyder, who directed both "Man of Steel" and "Batman V Superman", will also be directing the two-part Justice League movies. Given the not-so-good feedback of his last movie, it is not sure if he will be given the same creative control, especially that Chris Terrio is writing both of the new movies.
For certain, the two new movies will include Superman, Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).
