"Avengers: Infinity War" directors Joe and Anthony Russo stated last May that they want to focus the story on the characters who are already mainstays of the movie.
However, in the course of developing the script, the two made a hint that some Marvel superheroes might also appear in the latest instalment of the Avengers franchise.
The next Avengers movie will not only unite the divided Avengers in the Civil War to fight the mighty Thanos, Infinity War will also pave way for other Marvel superheroes to join the Avengers in eliminating the villain in order to have a bright post-Thanos future.
With these reports, there are added speculations that Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones and Charlie Cox's Daredevil will be joining the Avengers together with the rest of Netflix's The Defenders.
As spoilers are becoming rife already for this movie, there are speculations that Steve Rogers will not appear as Captain America, so perhaps MCU would cast other Marvel superheroes to join the movie.
In an interview with Toronto Sun as revealed in Digital Spy, the Russo brothers exposed that they have no other desire but to surprise their audiences and that they are considering everyone. Additionally, the two do not want to delve into the specifics of the movie or what would happen with these projects.
A report was also mentioned by Movie Pilot that this next Avengers film could be an X-Men crossover. Scarlet Witch de-powering millions of mutants in the course of her breakdown in the movie triggered this possibility since that event will require the presence of X-Men characters.
One thing more, the duo also confirmed that Brie Larson's Captain Marvel will be part of this Avengers movie and added that the character is an inconceivable part of casting.
With these hints of other superheroes joining 'Avengers: Infinity War', it is then safe to infer that the Russo brothers are preparing for something big in the movie's storyline.
