Apple has been silent about the release date of the new MacBook Pro and it makes the wait more interesting. While it is being determined when the product will hit the market, notes about its specifications have floated around.
It has been speculated that the 2016 MacBook Pro will have an innovative design. Mac Rumors have shared that Apple's newest item has shallower curves around the edges. It will also have a flatter keyboard to go with a wider pressure-sensitive track pad.
There are reports that the Pro will have a new hardware that features hinges made by a mechanism called metal injection molding. Ampenol, which was instrumental in making Microsoft's convertible tablet, will be manufacturing the hinges for the Mac.
Much consideration has been given to the Mac's battery life. The current MacBook lasts for 10 hours with a lower version of Intel chipset in place. With longer battery efficiency, the new computer gets a 20% boost compared to its predecessors. It has long been rumored that an Intel upgrade, the Kaby Lake processors, will improve the performance of the new Mac.
In terms of connectivity, the 2016 Pro will be embedded with the Thunderbolt 3 which allows the laptop to support multiple ports. Better connection to hard drives and an enhanced speed for faster storage are also being anticipated. Given today's sophisticated technology, the MacBook may be considering the integration of 4G cellular capability. The appeal among customers can be high considering that there is a decrease in 4G connectivity costs and SIM-only deals.
With regards to its graphics components, the new MacBook Pro has been rumored to use NVIDIA and AMD technologies to deliver better quality graphic performance. It is as well expected that the Apple product comes with a 2304X1440 resolution that is capable of streamlining 4K videos.
With the iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus in the market, the probability of the 3.5mm headphone jack gone is highly likely. In addition, the presence of the OLED display touch bar is a big replacement for the physical function keys considering that the move is adapted to the needs and functions of individual applications.
