'The Blacklist' Season 4, Episode 2 Spoilers: Liz struggles to trust Kirk while Tom enlists help for a mission

"The Blacklist" Season 4 kicked off with a serious revelation about Liz's past and her relationship with Red. Now the second episode promises more interesting and dramatic twists as Liz will be hard pressed to decide if she can trust Kirk and believe the story he is telling her.

NBC has released a synopsis of the next episode from Season 4 "The Blacklist" and it is titled "Mato," reports Hollywood Hills. It will see Liz struggling to trust Kirk as she cannot believe that a father can destroy his daughter's wedding and shoot at her friends. She also feels that Kirk is behind her daughter's kidnapping.

However, Kirk has begun to influence her and it looks like she will also start believing what he has to tell her. Show creator Jon Bokenkamp also hinted at this aspect of the crime thriller. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he said that Kirk will show her things that Red has not discussed or skillfully avoided. As he unveils snippets of truths before her, she will begin to trust him and according to Bokenkamp, it will be one of the biggest revelations in "The Blacklist" Season 4.

As for Red, Episode 2 will see him enlisting Tom's help in finding out a bounty hunter. Tom believes that this bounty hunter has got inside information about Kirk. He also thinks that this secretive assassin is aware of Kirk's plan and thus, if he is able to find him, he can also find Liz and her daughter.

The fourth season of "The Blacklist" is going to dwell a good deal on unraveling Red's real relationship with Liz too and Bokenkamp has talked about it. After Liz's death, viewers got a peek into Red's past and how deeply connected he is with Liz. Now, the coming episodes will delve deeper into his backstory as well as his relationship with Liz. It remains to be seen which dad is speaking the truth and who is weaving lies.

Episode 2 of "The Blacklist" Season 4 airs on Sep. 29, Thursday at 9 p.m. on NBC.
