'Chicago Fire' Season 5 postponed, to crossover with 'Chicago PD'

Stay tune fans as "Chicago Fire" Season 5 will have a crossover storyline with "Chicago PD" and "Chicago Med" Guy Burnet as guest star.

Aside from that, NBC has released the official plot description of Episode 1 entitled "The Hose or The Animal."

According to International Business Times, "Chicago Fire" Season 5 will be having a crossover episode with "Chicago P.D."

Aside from that, "Chicago Med" actor Guy Burnet will officially make a cameo appearance when "Chicago Fire" Season 5 premieres. The 33-year-old English actor will play the role of a lost man who will seek help from Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo).

Burnet's role is yet to be named, Parent Herald reported.

As for the official plot synopsis of "Chicago Fire" Season 5 premiere episode, The Futon Critic notes, "Severide and Stella are on the lookout for a very unstable Grant (guest star Guy Burnet), who left Chicago Med without notice.

Now that Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund) is responsible for Louie, she questions her dangerous career path as a firefighter. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) continues his work as Alderman Colin Becks (Armand Schultz) but his relationship with his political consultant, Susan Weller (guest star Lauren Stamile), cools down.

Problems continue for Jimmy Borrelli (Steven R. McQueen), who still blames Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) for the death of his brother. The situation reaches a boiling point. Meanwhile,

Randall 'Mouch' McHolland (Christian Stolte) and Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) start off on a new venture together."

"Chicago Fire" Season 5 Episode 1 is entitled as "The Hose or The Animal". The newest season which was scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at 11:00 p.m. has been postponed.

As of now, the official premiere date of Season 5 has not been confirmed by the series creators and the network.
