For the Nth time, Kevin Love name is dragged again in another trade rumor.
Many believe that Love is not happy with his role in the Cleveland Cavaliers. Many also say that his playing skill is not mixing well alongside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. That's why many think his caliber as a former All-Star is needed by other teams and not by the Cavs. In the latest trade rumor, Love will be traded in exchange for a guard.
According to iSportsTimes.com, the trade scenario would be that the Cavs will send Kevin Love to Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for guard Victor Oladipo. The report also says that the trade deal is beneficial for both teams as the Cavs will get an explosive guard who can support Kyrie Irving in the backcourt. Oladipo's first step is his asset for drawing defenders towards him and kicking it out to a great shooter like Irving. It allows Irving to concentrate more on his offense, which is advantageous to the Cavs.
On the other side, Kevin Love will greatly help the Thunder in the offense after being left out by their main man Kevin Durant. It will also rekindle the "brotherly bond" of Love and point guard Russell Westbrook in college while they are still playing at UCLA.
On a separate report by Morning News USA, although there's no impending deal with the Cavs and Thunder, the trade is a decent one and it makes sense. The report says that aside from that the Cavs get a reliable scorer they also got a terrific defender. This means that the addition of Oladipo will make them a better defensive team.
Another good thing is it will also allow them to sign JR Smith by sending Love to the Thunder together with his contract. Love is set to receive roughly $21-million this season and sending it together with the remaining three years on his contract will solve Cavs financial problem.
Will the Cavs finally release Love with this trade proposal? Or will they not break their promise to their fans?
