‘Avatar 2’ Casts and Plot Updates: James Cameron hints on Pandora-based story, return of Zoe Saldana as Neytiri

James Cameron, director of the smash hit, Avatar, kept on giving hints as to the details of the upcoming Avatar 2. Since, the film is under development still, the award winning director already dropped hints in returning casts that include Zoe Saldana as Neytiri and that the plot would somehow involve Pandora.

It was in 2009 when Avatar was released in cinemas and which became the highest grossing of all time dethroning Titanic. With that, it seems like several years have already passed and yet people are already anticipating for the sequel.

When it was announced that the a sequel, Avatar 2 is under the works, fans were thrilled and now, Cameron just can't contained his excitement in disclosing spoilers and what fans could expect in the latest instalment of the film.

According to Digital Spy, the original casts will reprise their roles like Zoe Saldana as Neytiri, Sam Worthington as Jake Sully. Fans would still be able to see sci-fi goddess Sigourney Weaver and the not so good guy Stephen Lang.

The main casts of Avatar film is on contract and that won't just expire.

Even when the first film was released, James Cameron was already talking about what people could expect in its upcoming sequels. According to him, it's more likely that Avatar 2 would be dealing on familial and imprisonment themes. He was also keen to disclose that this sequel can already stand on its own even if without relating it to the first film.

It was reported in HNGN that the story will also pave way to how Neytiri and Jake Sully will raise their children; this then gives to the familial theme. Therefore, the story will go back to the fictional universe of Avatar - the Pandora.

However, there are no tentative dates yet for the release of the sequel but it was first announced that it hit theaters December of 2107.

So with the upcoming Avatar 2 with its different storyline and returning casts, can this beat the first film?
