The iPhone7 event held on September 7 was a bit of a disappointment for Mac fans. Fans were expecting any announcement for the MacBook Pro update but the event was only focused on the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and Watch 2.
According to MacWorld's report, Apple has moved their fourth quarter earnings call two days earlier i.e. on October 25 while the original date for sharing the quarterly to the company's shareholders was October 27. This shift in the date is raising rumour that the iMac announcement can be expected on 25 October.
The new MacBook Pro will be coming in a new hinge design, which will be created by Amphenol, the company that makes the hinges on the Microsoft Surface Book. Such signals Apple's move to make their new premium laptop slimmer and more portable.
The latest gadget is rumored to feature Touch ID fingerprint sensor, mainly after the introduction of Apple Pay for Mac. Such would no longer limit Apple users from making Apple Pay purchases only on their handheld Apple devices.
Moreover, the new MacBook Pro will be coming in a thinner and lighter body, with amazing Touch ID, Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C type charger. Users can also expect for a faster Skylake processors with new graphics cards. There are also rumors of an OLED display touchbar installed just above the keyboard in the new MacBook Pro.
Rumors also say that MacBook Pro will be running on AMD's latest graphics processing unit, the Polaris. This will give weight to various speculations regarding a 5K HD display, as well as the ability to support virtual reality (VR), which will make the laptop more attractive to gamers.
The MacBook Pro 2016 could cost around USD 1300 to USD 1350, while the new iMac 2016 is estimated to be valued at USD 1649.
