Google's Android 7.0 Nougat OS is rolling out at a faster pace than usual. Tech companies have released their list of smartphones that are set to get Android 7.0 Nougat update. However, the list doesn't specify when the Android 7.0 Nougat OS will be available in the smartphones.
Taiwanese tech giant HTC has an advantage of working with Google for Nexus devices. That would allow the brand to get Android 7.0 Nougat update earlier for its devices compared to other smartphones made by rival companies.
As per reports, HTC's One M10 is likely to get Android 7.0 Nougat by December, 2016. Others hint that HTC devices may get the Android 7.0 Nougat sooner than any other devices in the tech market. The HTC devices reportedly set to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat are the One A9, One M9, 10 and One M10.
A quick review on the features and specs of HTC One M10 reveals the following specifications: a display made up of Super LCD5 capacitive touchscreen with16M colors, 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for the screen. HTC One M10 has Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 processor, Dual-core 2.15 GHz Kryo and dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo CPU, and Adreno 530 GPU.
The HTC One M10 has an internal memory of 32 GB with a 4 GB RAM along with an option of expanding up to 200GB via microSD card. HTC One M10 has a 12-megapixel laser autofocus dual-LED flash rear camera, and 5-megapixel autofocus front camera. Both a fingerprint panel and a non-removable Li-on 3000 mAh battery are part of the One M10's features as well.
Google's newly-released Android 7.0 Nougat is setting a race among smartphone manufacturers in the tech market. The recently-launched Google's Pixel and Pixel XL will come with Android 7.1 Nougat OS. Android 7.1 Nougat installed in the Pixel devices are reported to have more features than the Android 7.0 Nougat for other non-Pixel devices in the tech market.
