As many fans have heard by now or guessed, the events of the first season of "The Following" have had a great effect on the characters.
Thanks to a First Look video posted on FOX.com we can finally see how two of the characters - Ryan and Weston - have changed heading into Season 2.
As Shawn Ashmore points out about his character's relationship with Ryan, Wes and Ryan aren't on the best of terms.
"The relationship between Ryan and Weston is strained, to say the least," explains Ashmore in the video. "He's really confused why Ryan doesn't want to pursue the case and avenge Debra [Parker] and everyone else that was killed and hurt along the way."
It sure seems that way. As the "First Look" reveals, Ryan has become a professor and on the surface seems as if he is trying to move on from anything Joe Carroll related. However, as the video shows Ryan isn't showing the FBI and Weston everything.
"There is a Jekyll and Hyde aspect to Ryan this year," Bacon says about his character. "On the surface he's really keeping it together.
"But in the darker corridors of his psyche, maybe not so much." According to the First Look, which you can see below, Ryan is doing some investigating of his own.
The first look also gives us a glimpse into new characters such as Max Hardy (Jessica Stroup) a.k.a. Ryan's niece, FBI Agent Ken Phillips (James McDaniel), and Ryan's new love interest Leslie Gray (Connie Nielsen).
"She's worldly, has an appreciation of art, is just kind of this dynamic creature," Kevin Bacon said of Gray according to TVGuide.com. "I'm not out looking for love, but something about her just draws me in. She is, in a lot of ways, similar to the way I feel about Joe."
