Xiaomi's latest phone Mi Mix would be soon available for purchase and it would greatly delight the fans of the Chinese smartphone to know that it might be the clone of Apple's upcoming iPhone 8.
Rumors are swirling about Mi Mix being a rough draft of what Apple will be launching shortly at its tenth anniversary, reports iTech Post. The exterior design of Mi Mix is causing a great deal of curiosity among analysts and many believe that it gives a fair glimpse of what iPhone 8 might look like.
Notably, Apple did not come up with many new features in the recently-launched iPhone 7 and it is believed that the American smartphone behemoth is saving its big redesign for iPhone 8. It wants to make the occasion sensational and what could be better than launching a phone that is out-of-the-box.
Nevertheless, critics have their doubts and many feel that there is not much that can be done as there are very limited design options. Changing thickness is not going to cut ice with customers. so, it may take the route Samsung resorted to i.e. adding a curve.
It does not seem likely and therefore, the materials and the screen bezels seem to be the most suitable aspects through which Apple can introduce changes. The same aspects that Xiaomi has worked upon in Mi Mix. The phone has a 6.4-inch screen sans the bezel. It has a ceramic back with optional 18-karat gold accents and curved display corners, claims The Verge.
As far as iPhone 8 is concerned, critics think that Apple will do away with the mechanical home button. Till now, its function was to integrate fingerprint identification into the display. In the next model, Apple could bring in ceramics and it has already made a beginning with its watch that comes enclosed in a ceramic shell.
It is worth mentioning here that Apple always emphasizes on form that aids functionality and has been following this mantra in its innovations. As for Xiaomi, also known as the Apple of China, it is known to follow Apple with the only difference that its products are pocket-friendly.
