The first few weeks of the summer season were something magical for Niantic's Pokémon GO. Even if you aren't a huge fan of Pokémon, it was pretty impressive to see so many people getting hooked at experiencing the same thing out in the real world right at the same time.
But then, Niantic somehow choked, killed the Pokémon tracker, and it took ages to improve the basics. Pokémon GO is still popular among most mobile games, but the game is currently experiencing a down moment.
This is why its developers are looking to regain its once-illustrious position with its newest version 0.45.0 update. So, here are the newest feature on the updated version of Pokémon Go.
- Bonuses will be rewarded for anyone's first Pokémon catch and PokéStop visit each day, with the said bonus increasing each consecutive day that you would login to the game.
- Whenever you defeat the Gym Leader at a rival Gym, there will be a short period of time where you will be the only one who will be able to place a Pokémon in that specific open Gym.
- The amount of Prestige has increased for every rival Gym that loses when defeated by a regular Gym member. At the same time, the amount of Prestige gained through training at a friendly Gym has been decreased.
- Minor text fixes.
So, if you are playing Pokémon GO every day, you will be granted some free XP and stardust. Along with the buddy system, you can definitely make some real progress towards not finding nearby Pokémon because the tracker is still unavailable.
There are also hints of generation 2 Pokémon and Ditto in the latest version of the game. Fans are still hoping that Niantic will get tracking working again before they start adding some more new content of the game.
If you are still playing Pokémon GO, the update is now live.
