Steelers' Ladarius Green likely to play vs Cowboys this week
Pittsburgh Steelers' tight end Ladarius Green has been recovering from a surgically repaired ankle since early this year. Because of this, he failed to participate in team practices and training camp during the offseason. He is also unable to play in any of the Steelers' game this season.
But according to Steelers Depot, there's a possibility that Green could make his season debut at home against the Dallas Cowboys.
Green is the 110th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. He spent his first four seasons there as a backup for Antonio Gates. Last March 10, he signed a four-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
If Green could come back in the field, he might help the Steelers' offense and take some pressure off wide receiver Antonio Brown who has been attracting opposing teams' defense on a regular basis.
Will Green finally make his Steelers' debut on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys?
Tony Romo to play on Sunday vs Steelers
Tony Romo has been rehabbing from a back injury since the preseason. He is a limited participant in the Cowboys' practice for two weeks now. According to UPI, there's a possibility that Romo will be in the Cowboys' lineup on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
But the question here is, if Romo will be ready for Sunday's action, who will start as quarterback? Would it be him or Dak Prescott? A veteran or a rookie quarterback?
Dak Prescott was drafted in the fourth round and 135th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He was supposed to be a back-up quarterback for Tony Romo. The Cowboys want a young quarterback to develop under the wings of veteran Romo.
But an injury to Romo in the preseason led to Prescott's starting quarterback role. Truly enough, the rookie didn't disappoint the Cowboys.
After losing to the New York Giants in the season opener, the Cowboys bounced back and win seven straight games. The latest victim from the Cowboys' dominance was the Cleveland Browns in the score of 35-10.
