In the midst of the Brangelina divorce woes, Brad Pitt attended the red carpet premiere of his romantic-thriller movie "Allied," where he talked about his divorce with former wife Angelina Jolie for the first time.
Along with other celebrities who defended the actor during the times when he was accused of physically and verbally assaulting his 15-year-old son Maddox, Pitt's co-star in Allied, Marion Cotillard, who portrays opposite the actor's character, also shared the goodness of the Pitt onscreen and off-screen.
As IBT UK reported, the French actress, singer, and songwriter had only kind words to share when asked about her Allied co-star and her thoughts about the ongoing divorce drama that has been a struggle for the actor.
Cotillard said, "He such a good man. Of course, he's an amazing actor. He's such a good person that it's really not difficult to get along with him."
When asked about how the actor was as an onscreen partner, the 41-year-old actress stated that she was at first struggling on how to portray the role. Even though they have nothing in common and no chemistry with the 52-year-old actor, it worked because the time they had together on the set of the film was apparently enough for the two of them to master their characters.
It can be recalled that Cotillard was falsely-accused to be the reason of the Brangelina split, but the people and the media realized later on that she has nothing to do with the highly-publicized divorce of the former super couple.
She even took to social media her defense and said that she is currently happy with her relationship with long-time partner, French actor, Guillame Canet. And that they are expecting a child together. She added that the media scrutiny is already affecting the people she loves, hence the post.
According to Mirror UK, the actress' defense of Pitt's personality came after the actor was cleared of any abuse accusations thrown at him, which was decided by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
In the movie premiere, the actor was also asked about his current mindset and his condition with regards to child custody he has been battling with his former wife, and the decision of the Los Angeles DCFS. The actor revealed that he is happy that his fans are always supporting him, especially throughout this difficult time of his life.
