TAMO, Tata Motor's new sub-brand came out with a new Racemo sports coupe at the 87th Geneva Motor Show. The sports car is amazingly built and is claimed to be having finest performance. Tata Group's Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata and new Chairman N Chandrasekaran were present at the unveiling of first product under the name of TAMO.
The newly unveiled TAMO Racemo is a sports concept built on a patented MOFlex Multi-Material Sandwich (MMS) structure. It is a modular platform on which the automaker can design cars across all segments.
According to Auto NDTV report, the new Racemo sports coupe is 2-seater car which is 3,835m in length. The car is powered by the 1.2 litre turbocharged Revotron aluminum engine with 6-Speed AMT with paddle shift transmission. The engine generates an output power of 186 bhp with a peak torque of 210 Nm. The company claims that the TAMO Racemo will do 0-100 kmph in less than 6 seconds.
Guenter Butschek, CEO & MD, of Tata Motors said that Racemo is the first innovation from TAMO, and our emotional, unexpected leap to the future. Symbolizing the change that is taking place at Tata Motors, Racemo is the proving ground of the TAMO family of vehicles and will drive the future of India's connected generation.
The company states that there will be four pillars in the Racemo strategy in-order to take the brand forward. These include the real world Racemo street car, a more powerful track version called Racemo+ which is a version that gets different interiors and also been rendered and added to the 2016 Microsoft-published video game, Forza Horizon 3.
Microsoft's Forza Horizon 3 game is reported to be the first Indian car on the Forza gaming platform, with a digital reality experiential plan to initiate the car to non-owners. TAMO is reported to come with the second model of Racemo at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
