Samsung Galaxy S7 Active phones on AT&T starts receiving the new Android 7.0 Nougat update. Galaxy S7 Active users can now get the real experience of the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system which was released in August, 2016. Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is highly rugged verison of the S7 line-up.
Though, the Google's own devices have Android 7.1 Nougat featured, but many tech market Smartphones are yet to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Therefore, Verizon started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to its version of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Soon after the Verizon release, AT&T rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat fo rth Galaxy S7 Active phone.
According to ATT, the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system that hit the Galaxy S7 Active smartphones which are on AT&T platform has a build number NRD90M.G891AUCU2BQB2 and weighs in at around 1.5GB. The release details also include the baseband version of G891AUCU2BQB2 and Kernel version of 3.18.31-10651105.
Along with the Android 7.0 Nougat OS, the Galaxy S7 Active gets Samsung Cloud and Samsung Pass apps together with an Android security fixes for the month of February. Other changes include 'App Select' is enabled in Setup and Transfer and AT&T Address Book is removed in the update.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active, is a tougher version of South Korean tech giant's Galaxy S7 flagship phone. The phone holds a rubberized body which is based on the MIL-STD-810G military standard. The phone sports an IP68 water resistance rating.
This Galaxy S7 Active rough and tough smartphone has the back keys on the bottom are now physical hardware button when compared to the regular capacitive touch keys found on the standard Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
