Google, the Mountain View-based and search engine tech giant will continue the manufacturing of Pixel Smartphones. As heard from the head of hardware department, Google will come with the Pixel 2 Smartphone and is in development and will be released in 2017.
According to Android Pit report, Google Pixel 2 arrival was confirmed by the senior vice president of hardware at Google at the Mobile World Congress 2017. Rick Osterloh is working for Google from a year and got his greatest achievement of launching Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.
Osterloh though did not showcase the lessons learned from the Pixel smartphones, but he stated that "There's an annual rhythm in the industry. So, you can count on us to follow it. You can count on a successor this year, even if you don't hear a date from me now."
Osterloh also stated that upcoming Pixel smartphones will be at home in the upper price segment. He said "Pixel stays premium." And it is considered that Google will continue to leave lower price segments to other Smartphone manufacturers. Also, it means that Google will come up with the devices which will also have a steep price tag directly competition with the top end smartphones in the tech market by Apple and Samsung.
Other report claims that Google is testing powerful chipsets from two different suppliers likely to be from Qualcomm and Intel. It is also believed that the company might be developing its own processor. However, till date there are no official confirmations yet from Google. Therefore, readers are advised to take all the details on Pixel 2 with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates.

Google Pixel sports a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a pixel density of 441ppi is also protected by Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with a 4GB of RAM with either 32GB or 128GB internal storage options. The handset is powered by a 2,770mAh battery and runs on the latest OS-Android 7.1 Nougat.
The handset sports a 12MP rear camera with electronic image stabilization, an aperture of f/2.0, phase detection auto-focus, and a sensor size of 1/3.2". The phone carries an 8MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture for selfies.
