Thor's Lady Sif is coming to "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.LD." in order to help boasts ABC's show ratings.
According to San Jose Mercury News, Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif) will appear on episode 15 of the series. The show has caught onto popularity as much as ABC would hope, but hopefully her story arc will be enough to entice fans.
"We're shooting it now. Jaimie Alexander is there," ABC entertainment chief Paul Lee told reporters during a news conference. "That's going to be absolutely integral to that hour of television."
"It's going to be very, very cool," Lee added.
Lee is reportedly aware of the ratings dropping admits, but has a "very, very good" feeling about the direction of the show, according to the Mercury News.
"It took us a little bit of time to find our sea legs," he said. "... and to find the balance between a procedural and an arc."
"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will return to ABC's Tuesday show lineup on Feb. 4 at 8 p.m.
In other Marvel news, the company announced Academy Award-winning actor Michael Douglas will take on the role of Hank Pym in Edgar Wright's adaptation of "Ant-Man".
"With Hank Pym's rich history in the Marvel Universe, we knew we needed an actor capable of bringing the weight and stature to the role that the character deserves," Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said in a statment. "We felt incredibly relieved when Michael Douglas agreed to step into the part with the charm and fortitude he brings to every character he inhabits, and couldn't be more excited to see what he will do to bring Hank Pym to life."
"Ant-Man" is slated to hit theaters on July 31, 2015.
