New Egyptian Pyramid Discovered South Of Cairo, Believed To Be Older Than Giza [VIDEO]

Latest report and discovery has emerged as remains of new ancient pyramid in Egypt have been uncovered in South of Cairo. This pyramid is believed to be older then the Pyramid of Giza and this will already take another important piece of information to the already rich Egyptian history.

According to the Egyptian Ministry of State for Antiquities, the pyramid which was just recently discovered could date to the 13th century pharaonic dynasty. It his is the case then it will make these remains perhaps 3,700 years old.

Amen the findings which were uncovered were the corridors and a tablet which consist of ten lines of hieroglyphics. As reported by Huffington Post, these remains are still in good and excellent condition.

The Ministry also said that the new pyramid was discovered in close distance to Dahshur's royal necropolis. This necropolis has been believed to be the place where the Ancient Egyptian King Sneferu lived during the 4th Century BCE. The king was also the one who was responsible for building the Bent and Red Pyramids that have been considered as the early examples and representation of Egyptian pyramid architecture. After his reign, Sneferu was succeeded by his son King Khufu and who was also the one behind the construction of the pyramids at Giza.

The experts are still trying to get and uncover more details about the remains of this newly-discovered pyramid in Egypt. As the excavations are still in the early stages, the head of the Dahshur necropolis, Adel Okasha made an assumption. He said that the recently-discovered remains might be parts found inside the Bent Pyramid. These remains will also play a significant role in giving insights and further details into the design of the interior of the said structure.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of the Egyptian Ministry for Antiquities Essmat Sonay took part in the celebration of the discovery of these remains of a pyramid believed to be older than pyramids at Giza. Sonay posted and shared photos of this important discovery to social media and for one who can see the pictures, they look amazing.
