Khloe Kardashian is reportedly relieved after selling her shared home with Lamar Odom, but it doesn't change that she feels slightly responsible for the divorce.
According to Hollywood Life, the Kardashian sister feels her "tough love" during Odom's darkest times is the reason why their marriage failed.
"She thinks she was too hard on him and pushed him away when all she was trying to do was bring him closer when he was at his worst. She'll never admit that, but it's so true," a source close to Kardashian told Hollywood Life. "It's Khloe. It's her fabric and it's who she is. She really didn't want to leave Lamar but she had to. She had to for her soul."
The source also told the gossip site Kardashian was extremely uncomfortable living in the house she was supposed to share with her husband. She grew to despise their home because it was a reminder of what they once had together.
"She hates that place so f**king much because in her mind, she failed. Can you believe she thinks she failed as a wife? She was crazy in love with Lamar and thinks she failed him because she couldn't make him get off drugs," the source told Hollywood Life.
Kardashian and Odom made their relationship struggles public on the show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians". The former couple was trying to conceive a child together, but Kardashian face fertility issues.
Kardashian's older sister Kim talked to E! News about her sister abruptly stopping treatment after she realized the issues going on in her marriage.
"Khloé did start fertility and she wanted to have a baby, but I believe in the middle of the process she realized timing wasn't good based on what was going on with her relationship," Kim explained to E! News.
Kim added, "She was not ready to tell us everything so she stopped without telling us."
Kardashian filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences on Dec. 13.
