"Batman vs. Superman" production could be releasing the first official images of Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot in their superhero roles in about two weeks.
Forbes blogger Mark Hughes revealed on his Twitter account his inside sources are buzzing about the big reveal coming at the end of February to early March.
"Okay, fans, get ready, a bat-suit & WW reveal seems to be imminent, as in possibly days away," Hughes tweeted on Feb. 11. "The delay in start of filming might push it back a tad, but I'm hearing it may drop as originally planned in next 10 to 12 days or so."
Fans have created their own concept art for the upcoming "Man of Steel 2" costumes. Check out the slideshow above for an idea of what the new costumes could look like.
However, many fans are not completely sold on Affleck being right for the role of Batman. Producer Michael Uslan defended the "Man of Steel" production's casting decision in an interview with E Daily.
"A number of years go by, and then all of a sudden the torches and the pitchforks go up, 'oh my god, the guy that played the gay cowboy is going to be The Joker? They're going to destroy the greatest super villain in history," Uslan told E Daily. "And then after Heath Ledger's performance, when they actually went to see it, nobody ever wanted The Joker played by another actor again. So here we are, with an academy award winning filmmaker.
"You look at his last bunch of movies, Hollywoodland he had me convinced he was George Reeves," Uslan added. "The Town, Argo, just really, really great quality of work. Again, I'll go back to what Tim said in the beginning, it's all about Bruce Wayne, and when you focus on it, Bruce Wayne, maybe in his mid-forties, what's he going to be feeling? What's he going to be thinking? What does he have on his plate to deal with? I just couldn't be more excited about it."
"Batman vs. Superman" will be released to theaters on May 6, 2016.
