"Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes" creator Hideo Kojima continues to give fans hints about the upcoming installment on his official Twitter account.
Kojima revealed a limited edition version of MGS5 might be available for Sony's next-gen console, the PlayStation 4.
"[SONY] × [PS4] × [MGS GZ] collaboration initiative is in progress. More information at a later date," Kojima wrote on Twitter, according to a translation by DualShockers.
The MGS creator recently told Famitsu he admired the PS4's hardware compared to the other next-gen consoles on the market.
"I think, between the home consoles available in the domestic market, the PS4 is the best," Kojima said. "It's also excellent for graphics, being able to render 1080p at 60fps with room to spare. Since it does it a little better than other hardware, the image quality of the PS4 is the most beautiful. It's the closest to the photorealistic quality we are aiming at."
However, Kojima added he also enjoys developing new MGS titles across all gaming platforms.
"Kojima thinks that while everyone says that it was difficult to develop with PS1, PS2 and PS3, he actually liked that, as he liked the challenge," DualShockers reports. "Now the times have changed and multi-device, multi-platform, multi generation development has become commonplace."
"It's easy to port to PS4 from a PC environment, and that allows for the release of a wide variety of titles, though he wants to make games different from what others developers create" the site added. "That said, He loves the PS3 and it has a special place in his heart."
"Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes", the prequel to "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain", will be released on March 18.
