'Titanfall Beta': 5 Things You Should Know About Xbox One, PC Limited Time Download (TRAILER)

"Titanfall Beta" officially launched on the Xbox One and PC on Friday and there are few things gamers should know about the download. Check out the list below of five things you should be aware of before playing the game.

1. How To Sign Up

You will have to register up for Titanfall beta (and subscribe to the game's newsletter) by 4 p.m. PST on Feb. 14, but will end at 6 p.m. PST on Feb. 18. The only way to access the beta is through the game's official website here. (Source: Gamespot)

2. Xbox One Specs

"The beta of the game runs at a native resolution of 792p on Xbox One, but the final version of the game could run at 900p. The Xbox One will upscale this to 1080p, and Respawn Entertainment is also working with Microsoft to improve the machine's upscaling technology in time for the Titanfall launch. Microsoft will also release an Xbox One update to modify the controller's analog sticks in time for Titanfall." (Source: Gamespot)

3. PC Specs

"Users on Twitter are reporting that the PC Titanfall beta weighs in at about 12.3GB. An Origin account is required to play." (Source: Gamespot)

4. Gaming Tip: You've Got A Jetpack, USE IT!

"One thing in "Titanfall" you would never want to do is take stairs. With the verticality of the game, you want to get up high. If you're going down hallways, you're just going to get shot. Someone's going to come up behind you, from the side of you, wherever. They're going to get you. Avoid stairways." - Mathew Everett: EA Community Manager, Titanfall (Source: Xbox Blog)

5. Gaming Tip: Don't Fight It Alone

"Charging in too aggressively into a fight, assuming that just because you're really good that you'll easily be able to take out more than one guy as a Titan is one of those things that isn't necessarily true. You're going to have to work as a team, you're going to have to think about what your circumstances are, what your abilities are as a Titan, what you've got as a pilot, how that's gonna play out a few steps down the road... The minute you get in there and some guys jump you, it's time to get out of there and then try and regroup and reconsolidate and relaunch your strategy." - Steve Fukuda: Game Director, Titanfall (Source: Xbox Blog)
