If the midterm elections turn out to be a referendum on President Joe Biden, according to former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, the Democrats know they will lose.
NBC's Chuck Todd presented an ad by the Arizona Democratic Party featuring Kari Lake that connected abortion rights to crime while debating Democratic vs Republican election messaging.
Psaki Claims Democrats Know They Are Vulnerable to Crime
Todd said he wasn't sure if the advertisement was actually effective or if they were making an effort to connect the two topics. Democrats are aware of their vulnerability to crime, she continued. According to Jen Psaki, Republicans are heavily funding commercials that highlight crime and Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman.
Todd questioned Jen Psaki later in the program regarding her time in the White House and the deliberate omission of former President Donald Trump by Joe Biden and others.
Although Psaki didn't work for Biden's campaign, she said that President Joe Biden aggressively pushed the idea that Donald Trump wasn't qualified for president. She continued by saying that when he took office, a strategic decision was made, and that decision was no longer what the public desired.
A Washington Post/ABC News poll issued on Sunday revealed that Biden's approval ratings are still below that at 39%, despite the fact that they have lately risen into the mid-40s from the bottom of recent polls.
The poll indicated that 53% of people disapprove of the president. And while 5 points have been added to the percentage of Americans who say President Joe Biden has accomplished little to nothing since last November, the percentage who say he has accomplished a great lot or a fair amount has climbed, as per Fox News.

Poll: GOP Mantains Lead in House of Representatives
Her remarks appear to support Democrats' latest verbal assault against MAGA Republicans, whom leaders from Joe Biden to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and many left-wing lawmakers have denounced as extremists. The aggressive new plan is Democrats latest attempt to energize their base to vote in November.
Republicans continued to hold a slim but definite edge in the House of Representatives as of Sunday, according to a new tracker poll, albeit that lead has somewhat decreased since July.
The GOP is expected to win 223 seats in the next Congress, above the 218-seat threshold for a majority but with a few fewer representatives than the 226 anticipated to win in August. CBS is forecasting 48 seats for Democrats and Republicans in the Senate. The contests in Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada are all close.
In reference to Republican efforts in the Pennsylvania Senate race, where former Braddock Mayor and current Lt. Governor John Fetterman is competing against Trump supporter Dr. Mehmet Oz, Psaki predicted on Sunday that the topic of crime would continue to weigh down Democrats.
More than 80% of US voters responded that when choosing who to send to Congress, the economy was a very important factor. With 76 percent, inflation came in second. The third most critical concern, according to 67 percent of respondents, was crime.
Similarly, only 45% of respondents strongly or somewhat approve of Biden's performance in the White House thus far. Just 11 percent of respondents said they somewhat disapproved of the president, while 44 percent said they strongly disapproved of him, Daily Mail reported.
