Tom Sizemore Health Update: Doctors Say There’s ‘No Further Hope’

Actor Tom Sizemore, who suffered a stroke-induced brain aneurysm on Feb. 18, and is now in a coma, is no longer anticipated to recover.

"Today, doctors notified his family that there is no further hope and have suggested the end-of-life choice," Sizemore's manager, Charles Lago said on Monday, according to Yahoo Entertainment.

The family of Tom Sizemore is considering end-of-life arrangements and will release a statement on Wednesday.

Sizemore's family was also asking for privacy in this "difficult time" Monday, Lago said.

He added that they "wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support, and prayers that have been received."

An Accomplished Actor

According to Lago's update on Tom Sizemore health, after suffering an aneurysm earlier this month, the 61-year-old actor has been in an intensive care unit in a coma, per NBC News.

Early on February 18, Tom Sizemore passed out at his Los Angeles residence. His management claims a stroke was the cause of the brain aneurysm he experienced.

Tom Sizemore's movies includes 1998's "Saving Private Ryan," where he portrayed Sgt. Horvath. The movie won five Oscars. Other films he appeared in include "Black Hawk Down," "Strange Days," and "Heat."

In addition to being nominated for a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award, the Detroit-born Tom Sizemore Saving Private Ryan actor has also been nominated for a Golden Satellite Award, per People.

He recently had several projects, including a handful in post-production. He was cast in Cobra Kai, Book of Nightmares, and The Tale of Johnny Jones, which also starred Danny Trejo and Kevin Sorbo.

Tom Sizemore has twin teenage sons with Janelle McIntire.
