Courteney Cox has responded to a viral story from Prince Harry's recently published memoir, 'Spare.'

In 2016, the Duke of Sussex "gobbled" magic mushrooms at the house of the 'Friends' star, according to the tell-all book.

Courtney Cox Reacts to Prince Harry's Memoir Claims

In a fresh interview with Variety before her induction onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, Courtney Cox stated that the prince remained at her house but disputed that he "passed out" after using psychedelics.

"I'm not saying there were mushrooms! I definitely wasn't passing them out," as per Cox.

Per The Independent, Prince Harry stated in Spare that he was invited to stay at Cox's residence by a friend of a friend who first indicated the actor was unavailable.

Prince Harry then recounted visiting Will Arnett at her home, who indulged him in doing "the voice" from The Lego Batman Movie, in which he stars.

Courteney Cox remembered that Prince Harry stayed with her for a "few days" following the Duke of Sussex's claim that he used magic mushrooms at her residence. The 38-year-old royal father of two stated in his explosive memoir Spare that after consuming magic mushrooms, he hallucinated that a trash can was speaking to him.

Prince Harry stated that while staying at the actress' residence, he spotted a box of mushroom chocolates in the refrigerator and chose to eat them before consuming tequila. She said, "I have not read the book. According to what I have heard, it is rather entertaining. Nonetheless, I have been contacted about it."

After staying with his buddy Thomas's girlfriend, the group "moved for whatever reason" and ended up at Courteney Cox's home, who was a friend of the girlfriend and "had more room." Yet, he stated that Courteney Cox suddenly "appeared" and began "inviting people over" for a party. The exploits of the Duke as a "party prince" have been widely documented throughout the years, as per Daily Mail.

Appearing on American actor Dax Shepard's podcast in 2021, Prince Harry smiled as he recounted his notorious Las Vegas party trip, during which images of him in his underwear were released to the media.

During a game of strip billiards in his VIP room, he was seen wearing only a necklace as a nude woman crouched behind him during a wild weekend in Las Vegas in 2012. The Duke is scheduled to meet with a Hungarian-Canadian physician who was previously threatened with arrest for using a "spiritual" psychedelic substance to treat patients to explore Courteney Cox's discovery.

Prince Harry's Recovery

On Saturday, Gabor Maté will join Prince Harry to discuss "living with loss, and the significance of personal healing," followed by a live Q&A. Prince Harry's selection of Dr. Maté to assist with the promotion of his memoir is more evidence of his interest in therapeutic recovery; he has previously described his experience with therapy.

The event, organized with Prince Harry's publishers Penguin Random House, will occur on Saturday, March 4, at 5 p.m. It comes at a difficult moment for the Sussexes, whose reputation in the United States has plummeted since the publication of Spare a month ago, and who must now decide whether to attend Charles' coronation.

According to a study by Redfield & Wilton for Newsweek, Prince Harry's popularity has decreased by 48 points and Meghan's by 40, giving them net approval scores of -10 and -17, respectively.

While Prince Andrew is still seen badly following the settlement of his New York civil suit against his sex accuser Virginia Roberts outside of court, his net approval rating is -2, with 26% of Americans approving of him and 28% disapproving.
