Konami has announced the official price for "Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes" has been significantly lowered.
The gaming studio revealed PS4 and Xbox One version of MGS5 will cost $30 instead of the previously advertised price $40. Both the physical and digital copies of the game will be $30.
"It was also revealed that those who purchase a first-run copy of the game will receive exclusive DLC for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain once it's released," IGN reports. "The DLC will give players additional resources for their Mother Base which is introduced in Ground Zeroes, and will be an integral part of The Phantom Pain. Additionally, any VIP's or POW's captured in Ground Zeroes will carry over to The Phantom Pain."
"Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes" will be released on March 18 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.
If you are unsure which console to buy the game for, MGS director and creator Hideo Kojima recently told Famitsu (via Dualshockers) which next-gen gaming platform he prefers overall.
"I think, between the home consoles available in the domestic market, the PS4 is the best," Kojima said. "It's also excellent for graphics, being able to render 1080p at 60fps with room to spare. Since it does it a little better than other hardware, the image quality of the PS4 is the most beautiful. It's the closest to the photorealistic quality we are aiming at."
Kojima added how PS4's hardware will affect the "Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes" gameplay.
"Thanks to the PS4's memory it's possible to load the map in the background without the loading times that were necessary for instance in the first Metal Gear Solid when you moved from room to room," DualShockers report. "This creates a challenging 'game of hide-and-seek.' Kojima-san wanted to develop the first Metal Gear like this on MSX2, but couldn't because of hardware limitations."
