Atlanta authorities are warning residents to avoid a local food court after a shooting incident that left four people, including the suspect, wounded on Tuesday afternoon.

"Four people shot at Peachtree Center Food Court. Building is now on lockdown," Mayor Andre Dickens post to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
"One is the alleged original shooter and he was shot. All involved are still alive. [The Atlanta Fire and Rescue Department] are on the scene rendering aid alongside [the Atlanta Police Department.]"

The shooting reportedly unfolded near a Hard Rock Cafe. The crime scene is still considered active. Law enforcement have not yet released the names of the victims or the suspect. Dickens and Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum were at the city's Public Safety headquarters, as of 3 p.m. on Tuesday, responding to the incident.

This is a developing story.
