Authorities arrested rapper Remy's Ma's son in connection with the broad daylight killing of a man in Queens.
Jayson Scott, the 23-year-old son of the Grammy-nominated musician, and another man, Richard Swygert, 22, are accused in the slaying of 47-year-old Darius Guillebeaux, following a dispute, ABC News, the New York Post, and WNYW-TV reported, citing the NYPD.
Details of the dispute are unclear.
Guillebeaux was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and chest on June 7, 2021.
Scott has also been charged with second-degree murder, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment, said police.
It's unclear if he entered pleas to the charges. Attorney information was not immediately available.
Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, rose to fame as a member of Fat Joe's Terror Squad in the early 2000s.
Their song "All the Way Up" was certified platinum in 2017.
