A man in Export, Pennsylvania was fatally shot following a dispute over a parking spot.

A dispute over a parking spot turned deadly on Tuesday, leaving a Pennsylvania woman without a boyfriend and a man in police custody.

65-year-old Daniel Chicka was visiting his girlfriend in Export, Westermoreland County when Matt Miller, 32, a man who had recently moved to the neighborhood, became territorial over a parking spot.

The two men were embroiled in a heated argument until Miller pulled out a gun and fatally shot Chicka, officials said.

"It's a shame a guy got killed for nothing," neighbor Greg Rager said.

"Just stupid."

Chicka's brothers told CBS News that people referred to Daniel as "Slim" and that he was a retired coal miner from Avonmore.

Miller fired five shots, and according to KDKA-TV, Miller is claiming self-defense.

The investigation is ongoing as police are working to secure search warrants on residences and vehicles.

No charges have been filed.
