A Florida man has been arrested by the Broward Sheriff's Office after carjacking a woman and driving off with her toddler in the back seat.
An anonymous tip led to the identification of the suspect, 35-year-old Willio Petioma.
The mother and her three-year-old daughter, were involved in a car accident with another vehicle on June 28.
As she got out of her vehicle to exchange information with the other driver, police said Petioma jumped in the driver side of her vehicle and quickly sped off with her child inside.
Dramatic dash cam footage captured the moment Petioma dumped a toddler girl in her car seat on the side of a busy Florida road and fled through traffic.
On Sunday, June 30, Petioma was taken into custody and booked into the Broward County Jail.
Petioma faces charges including kidnapping, carjacking, interfering with the custody of a minor and illegal use of a credit card.
He was also arrested on a separate warrant issued by Palm Beach County for possession of cocaine and resisting an officer.
