Actor Danny Trejo was captured on video brawling with attendees at a Fourth of July parade in Los Angeles on Thursday after someone apparently threw a water balloon at the car he was in.
Videos shared on social media showed the 80-year-old "Machete" star participating in the holiday parade in Los Angeles' Sunland-Tujunga neighborhood in a vintage convertible. A water balloon hit the car as people standing near the vehicle shouted to the crowd, "No water!"
Trejo got out of the vehicle to confront a group of people on the sidewalk, and a fight ensued. Trejo appeared to throw a punch, and was briefly knocked to the ground. He also threw a lawn chair as bystanders tried to break up the fight.
According to local media, the brawl lasted several minutes before the Los Angeles Police Department arrived to intervene. No charges were filed.
According to KABC-TV, water balloons are a common sight at the annual parade, but a witness said Trejo became upset because "usually people don't throw water balloons at fancy cars when they come by."
