"Titanfall" for the Xbox 360 is set to launch in a few weeks and is promising gamers the experience will be on par to the Xbox One and PC versions.
According to Polygon, the game will hit stores on March 25, but there has been little press about the console version. "Titanfall" had their on SXSW event, but the Xbox 360 version of the game was no where in sight.
However, Xbox Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer Yusuf Mehdi told Polygon at the SXSW event the development for the console version of "Titanfall" is coming out just fine.
"I think we struck the right balance - it was Respawn, really, and the developer who struck the balance - which is, it will play great on Xbox 360," Mehdi told Polygon. "Believe me, we are thrilled about it. Xbox 360 is in, obviously, all the markets including the top 13 with Xbox One; we're in 48-plus markets for [Xbox 360]. For many markets, that will be the game. So, we've worked together to have that be a first-class experience."
"At the same time, on Xbox One you can get some of those extra features that set it apart, and there will be people who want to do that, and there will be enough encouragement to go - but it will be a great experience on Xbox 360," Mehdi added.
The game's Xbox 360 version was delayed in February after EA announced it to tweak the game before releasing it. However, developers went forward with the release of the Xbox One, which is odd considering next-gen versions are usually the ones getting their launch dates pushed back.
The New York Times reports Microsoft hopes "Titanfall" will help boast sales for the lagging Xbox One, which has only sold about 3.5 million consoles, while the PS4 has sold more than 6 million worldwide.
